Patriot Watch John Merrill, Department of Homeland Security This presentation explains the need for GPS interference detection and mitigation (IDM) and describes the Patriot Watch IDM initiative led by DHS to protect U.S. critical infrastructure. The briefing includes a description of efforts to stop a personal GPS jammer that impacted FAA equipment at Newark Airport in 2009-2010.
