This presentation explains the need for GPS interference detection and mitigation (IDM) and describes the Patriot Watch IDM initiative led by DHS to protect U.S. critical infrastructure. The briefing includes a description of efforts to stop a personal GPS jammer that impacted FAA equipment at Newark Airport in 2009-2010.
