Fixing Address and Map Issues

What app are you using?

To fix an address in Apple Maps

  1. Open the Apple Maps app.
  2. Tap the location you want to change.
  3. Tap Edit Details.
  4. Tap Refine Location on the Map.
  5. Move the pin to the correct location.
  6. Tap Done.

To report an issue in Apple Maps

  1. Open the Apple Maps app.
  2. Tap the location you want to change.
  3. Tap Report a Concern.
  4. Complete the feedback form.

 

To fix an address in Bing Maps

  1. Open Bing Maps
  2. Search for the address you want to fix.
  3. Click Feedback at the bottom of the page.
  4. Chose Suggest an Edit from the option list.
  5. Complete the feedback form.

To fix an address in Google Maps

  1. Open the Google Maps app.
  2. Search for the address you want to fix.
  3. Tap Suggest an Edit and then Fix an Address.
  4. Move the map to the center of the building.
  5. Enter the address information.
  6. Tap Submit.

To add a new address to Google Maps

  1. Open the Google Maps app.
  2. Search for the address you want to fix.
  3. Tap Contribute and then Update Address.
  4. Move the map to the center of the building.
  5. Enter the address information.
  6. Tap Submit.

Google also has ways for you to add or fix a road and to add a missing place.

To fix an address in Mapquest

  1. Open Mapquest
  2. Click on the three vertical dots or horizontal lines.
  3. Click Get Help from the pop-up menu.
  4. Chose appropriate error from the option list.
  5. Complete the feedback form.

OpenStreetmap is a community driven project, thus has a different submission mechanism.

To fix an address in TomTom

  1. Press and hold the location on the map where the correction is needed.
  2. Select Report Map Error from the pop-up menu.
  3. Choose the type of error.
  4. Enter the correct information.
  5. Select Report. 

If this doesn't work, you can try the TomTom MapShare Reporter.

To fix an address in Waze

  1. Open Waze
  2. Click on the three vertical dots or horizontal lines.
  3. Click Help and feedback from the pop-up menu.
  4. Chose Report an Issue from the option list.
  5. Complete the feedback form.
