Advisory Board

The National Space-Based Positioning, Navigation, and Timing Advisory Board provides independent advice to the U.S. government on GPS-related policy, planning, program management, and funding profiles in relation to the current state of national and international satellite navigation services. It consists of up to 30 members which are nominated by Federal Agencies and vetted by the Executive Committee. 

As of its 31st meeting, held on December 4-5, 2024, it consisted of 29 GPS experts from outside the U.S. government representing U.S. industry, academia and international organizations. The Chairman of the Advisory Board was is Admiral Thad W. Allen, USCG, Ret.
